The Development Process of Turbocharger

The turbocharger development process is very complex, and each turbocharger is designed and matched specifically to one engine model, this is a long and complex development and verification process where all engine parameters are evaluated several times to ensure a perfect match. There is no universal turbocharger to fits all engines.
To replacing one turbocharger that designed for another engine can result in poor dynamic response, power loss, low end torque and undesirable fuel consumption.

As a combination of rotor dynamics, mechanical mechanics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, materials and other disciplines, the development process of turbocharger requires a high comprehensive ability, which runs through the whole process including matching, design, simulation, test verification, quality inspection.
